Our Story

In July of 2016, Tracey and Brian purchased a weekend home in Sharon, Connecticut. Eight months later, Brian saw an ad for a commercial space. Having dreamt of opening a wine bar in Manhattan and realizing how cost-prohibitive that was, he mulled over turning a doctor’s office into a local wine bar in a town that didn’t have many choices in entertainment. The Porchlight was born and opened in September of 2017. But a much more well-known hospitality group already had that name. So by 2018, The Porchlight became a wine and cocktail bar called The Edward, Tracey’s father and grandfather’s name as well as Brian’s middle name and the name of his grandfather, Edward W.
